This Sunday is Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), the 45th anniversary
of the historic 1967 liberation and reunification of Jerusalem.

On Jerusalem Day, Israelis will parade through the streets of Jerusalem to
celebrate the 45th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967.

On Saturday, May 26 Beth T'filah will observe Erev Shavuot with an Oneg following. Everyone is invited to bring a dairy dish. (cheesecake and blintzes, make-your-own-sundaes for the oneg!... be creative)

The word Shavuot means “weeks.” It marks the completion of the seven-week counting period between Passover and Shavuot. Shavuot celebrates G-d's gift of the Torah.
